Information architecture
Users can simply find majority of the information and functionalities they need for in the Home page, streamlining their user experience and significantly saving their time. Homepage navigate them to more detailed analysis

design
Designing Personalized data visualization and interpretation
Understanding health data shouldn’t feel overwhelming. I tailored the homepage dashboard to each user by prioritizing the metrics they care about most, ensuring that the most critical information is always front and center. Users can dive deeper into any health metric through detailed insights pages, where they’ll find clear trend visualizations, expert interpretations, and contextually relevant articles that explain the significance of their data.

Collecting personal information
After the initial login, the platform uses an AI bot to guide users through filling in their personal information. These information will help the system to customize homepage for user
Personalized dashboard
Display the metrics that matter most to users at the top, showing user their personal goal (navigate user to goal page)
Articles and features area to make recommendations based on user's interests
Users can see all metrics and compare them side-by-side, and they can customize the metrics dashboard themselves

Metrics analysis
Each health metric page follows a consistent design structure to ensure a seamless and intuitive experience. When users click into a specific metric, they will find:
- Latest Result
- Trend Visualization
- Personalized Recommendations
- Personalized educational Resources
- CTA of add new data
Detailed data trend analysis
On the chart, not only the data of the indicator is shown, there are also lifestyle icons, Users can clearly see the impact of lifestyle on the curve
I interviewed endocrinologists to make sure that the charts and statistics were professionalized

design
Contextual, AI-driven and actionable lifestyle advices
Managing health shouldn’t require constant trips to the doctor for every question. Through research, we found that users have a strong need for real-time answers. To support our Independence design principle, Instead of a separate, static AI feature, I design the AI assistant that proactively analyzes user data and profile, predicts potential concerns, and provides timely, actionable advice embedded within their flow, ensuring that whenever a user has a question, they receive immediate, context-aware guidance on lifestyle.

More than a static entrance
From the homepage, users can access the AI to answer any question using our trained LLM... But we don't stop there.
When user receive a new data from device,
they can ask AI
Apart from recommended life style suggestions, user can easily ask personalized questions, I designed a list of potential questions they may curious about

When user log a meal, they can ask AI
When users record their diets, they are curious about how it affects their health, and the AI analyzes their health records and provides corresponding recommendations.
When user wondering how to complete their daily health goal, they can ask AI
AI can analyze which task the user should do next based on the scenario and progress, and set alerts in the APP to help the user complete the task.

Goal-driven and socially connected habit formation

Fogg Behavior Model
Behavior=trigger+motivation+ability
Health management is a long-term commitment, requiring consistency in both behavioral habits and health monitoring. Our app is designed to cultivate sustainable health behaviors—not only benefiting users but also driving our business goals by fostering long-term engagement.
However, health management is inherently counterintuitive and difficult to sustain, meaning that Ability tends to be naturally low.
Earlier, I introduced how we enhance user ability through intuitive design and AI-driven guidance, making health management easier and more accessible.

DESIGN Motivation
Goal & Reward: Gamification

Personalized Goals & Actionable Tasks
Users see a goal on the homepage, generated from their health profile, with small, achievable tasks to create a clear path forward. Breaking down goals into steps reduces overwhelm and increases motivation through frequent wins.
Emotional Feedback
Completing tasks unlocks emoji-based progress indicators, offering instant, playful reinforcement that makes health management feel rewarding.
External rewards
Users earn points for completing tasks, providing extrinsic motivation and reinforcing long-term engagement through gamification mechanics.
External Rewards
Points can be exchanged for Eaglenos physical products, which further promotes users to become loyal customers of our software + hardware products and helps us achieve our business goals.

DESIGN Motivation
Social consistency: Family Support for Engagement
Research shows that patients are more motivated when they receive emotional support from family, who play a crucial role in providing encouragement throughout their health journey. Considering persuasive design principles, particularly Social Proof and Liking, people are more likely to adopt behaviors when they see others engaging in them and when those behaviors are reinforced by meaningful relationships.

A family homepage
After Inviting family members into a group, all members can view each other’s key health metrics to promote accountability and shared motivation. Caregivers can react, comment, or send encouragement when a patient have an update on their health record.

Reflection
Things can be improved in the future
-
Enhancing User Compliance & Engagement → While the product integrates persuasive design elements, more advanced behavioral techniques and gamification strategy could be explored to further improve habit formation and long-term retention.
-
Optimizing for Accessibility & Inclusivity → Ensuring that different user groups, including elderly users or those with limited digital literacy, can easily navigate and benefit from the product.
-
Establishing a Design System Early → Developing a structured design system in the early stages would streamline future iterations, ensuring visual and functional consistency while reducing redesign efforts.
-
Strengthening Research-Driven Decisions → Conducting more in-depth user research and longitudinal studies would provide data-backed validation for design solutions, ensuring they effectively address real user behaviors and needs.
-
Expanding Social & Family Engagement Features → Further exploring social reinforcement mechanisms, such as peer groups or community-driven support, could strengthen motivation beyond family interactions.

Learnings

One of the most rewarding moments in this project was hearing a user say:

I see true impact of design in healthcare—it’s not just about usability or engagement metrics, but about empowering people to take control of their well-being.
While business success is important, what truly drives me is seeing real impact—helping people feel supported, take action, and experience positive change in their health. Knowing that my work can empower individuals, support families, and contribute to a healthier society is my greatest takeaway from this journey.
